Romance Manga “Kimi Ni Todoke” Is Going To End

In June, it was announced by Shueisha’s August issue of Bessatsu Margaret that manga Kimi ni Todoke will enter its final chapter, but in July due to author’s sudden illness the manga went on a one-month hiatus and then returned in August.

On Friday, the official website of Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine revealed that Karuho Shiina’s shoujo manga Kimi ni Todoke will end in the December issue of the magazine and issued on November 13. It was also announced that the final will features the color opening pages on the final chapter of the manga.

The story centers Kuronuma Sawako a shy yet honest girl who is completely misunderstood by her classmates. Her timid and sweet behavior is often mistaken for a hateful behavior. This is due to her resemblance to the ghost girl from “The Ring,” which has led her peers to give her the nickname Sadako. Longing to make friends and live a normal life, she is naturally drawn to Kazehaya Shouta, the most popular guy in class, whose “100% refreshing” personality earns him great admiration from Sawako. So when Kazehaya starts talking to her, maybe there is hope for the friendships Sawako has always longed for. Maybe… there is even a little hope for some romance in her future.
